Sludge bastards WEEDEATER have announced several new headlining shows throughout the Midwest and Southeastern US this September. Kicking things off in their home state, the band will devastate the crowd at Raleigh, North Carolina’s Hopscotch Festival on September 11th, also with Public Enemy, Tortoise, Kylesa, U.S. Christmas, Harvey Milk and tons more. WEEDEATER will be dropping plenty of new material from the upcoming album on these shows, which will lead directly up to the recording of Jason…the Dragon with Steve Albini, finally.

WEEDEATER have been pushed to their limits over the past twelve months. While it’s been a year of heavy and successful touring for the band, it was also a year of catastrophic physical injury to this seemingly invincible trio. Leading off with Dixie Dave Collins’ shotgun accident which spawned the brutal “Nine Toe Tour” earlier this year, and continuing shortly after that with drummer Keko tearing his meniscus after returning from said tour and requiring surgery. Both of those accidents prevented the group’s two previously scheduled meetings with Albini. The group’s latest installment of injury includes guitarist Shep breaking his pinkie finger while on tour in Europe this July alongside Black Cobra and Saviours. Luckily, Shep can still riff with his cast so the European tour and the recording session were spared.

These accidents have forced the band to push the recording for their now hard-earned upcoming full-length back several times now. Initially scheduled to take place in January of this year, then again in April, the trio will now step into Albini’s Electrical Audio Studio this September 15-19 to hammer out their mammoth 4th full-length Jason… The Dragon, their 2nd release for Southern Lord Recordings.

WEEDEATER 3rd Time’s A Charm Tour:
9/11/2010 Hopscotch Music Fest – Raleigh, NC w/ Public Enemy, Kylesa, U.S. Christmas

Memphis-based rock trio Ingram Hill will be releasing their new album, “Look Your Best,” on September 28, 2010, via Rock Ridge Music. “Look Your Best” features 10 brand new tracks (12 tracks on iTunes) and was produced by Rick Beato (Billionaire, Michelle Malone, Flickerstick, Shinedown) at his Stone Mountain, Georgia, studio. The band had worked with Beato on their first full-length, 2004’s “June’s Picture Show.” Prior to entering the studio, lead vocalist/guitarist Justin Moore and guitarist Phil Bogard, gave themselves a month to write at least 20 new songs to go along with material they already been performing live. The result is an album that includes both new winners and some existing fan favorites.

The album’s first single, “As Long As I’m With You,” “is for that person or the people who really kind of holds it together for you,” says Moore, who penned the tune. “When seemingly everything around you is falling apart, it’s nice to know that it’s going to be okay because someone’s got your back. It doesn’t always have to be the same person, either. Sometimes it can be your best friend or significant other, and sometimes it can be a group of fans in the front row, smiling, dancing, and singing the words to your songs.”

A number of the songs on the album were road-tested before they were recorded, such as “Hey Girl,” which Moore says got great feedback every single time it was played live, especially from the throngs of females sure to be in every audience at Ingram Hill shows. ““Hey Girl” is pretty much an argument against the constant self-consciousness of almost every woman I know,” says Moore. “It’s not always the most popular and supposed-to-be-hot girl that does it for guys, and even the flaws you see in yourself might be just the thing that’s attractive to us.”.

The band was previously signed to Hollywood Records and released two albums on the label: 2004’s “June’s Picture Show,” which boasted two Billboard charting Hot AC radio hits (“Will I Ever Make It Home” and “Almost Perfect”); and 2007’s “Cold In California” (which came after a line-up change). After ending their relationship with Hollywood following that album, they began writing and recording “Look Your Best.” The band has toured extensively with bands such as Hootie and the Blowfish, Maroon 5, Guster, Better Than Ezra, and Hanson. Ingram Hill is: Justin Moore (lead vocals, guitar), Phil Bogard (guitar), Zach Kirk (bass).

Death metal icons MASTER recently completed the recording of their upcoming Pulverised full-length The Human Machine. The mixing/mastering process is currently underway.

Said MASTER founder/frontman Paul Speckmann of the new long player: “I’m very happy with the way things have turned out; it’ll be killer to finally have a CD released once again on a professional label such as Pulverised. Things look very good on the horizon with Brazilian and European tours coming soon. See you on the road my friends.”

Added Pulverised Records A&R manager Calvin Chiang: “Paul sent me two blistering tracks from the upcoming new MASTER album last night and I was absolutely blown away by how much authentic brutality they still retain, coming from a band with an almost 30-year history. This is probably more oldschool and ferocious than their previous few efforts. It is exactly how fans of MASTER would imagine a new album to be; no one will be disappointed!”

Mike Lepore (Guitars)
Jason Vanderpool (Drums)
Chris Landoch (Bass)
Randy Arruda (Voices on some tracks)

The album was produced, recorded, mixed and in places performed with the band by Chris Tsangarides who also asumed the role of “radio personality” Osiris Elektrikill while Randy Blake II doubled the T.Rex styled harmonies as Malaria Toxine on the track “Cry For Dawn” that also features a frustrated radio listener performed by Randy Arruda.

Nine tracks were recorded for the album from the fourteen originally planned for it. Recording ran from November 1st, 2008 to November 15th 2008.

The first of three proposed singles from the album was released on January 20, 2009. “Astral Groover” takes the form of a heavy ’70’s influence with a modern approach.

Along the lines of T.Rex melding into Cathedral (band) while maintaing the band’s own style and itentity.

The middle of the track morphs into a cosmic jazz section featuring a sampled “explosion” from Steppenwolf’s “Earschplittenloudenboomer” track from that band’s album “7″.

Greetings fellow metal heads, I hope you all had a great New Year. Hey I wanted to tell you about a fundraiser Attackhead is doing for the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA). During the entire month of February we are donating 50% of all CD’s sales made through Attackhead.com to the IAVA and I am donating $1.00 for every new follower we get on Twitter ( up to $200.00 as I am not rich) I am lowering the CD price to $10.00 for the fundraiser. The IAVA is helping to promote the event and I am going to send out press releases to numerous papers and other media.

If you could help me spread the word about this event that would be awesome. Our Veterans need all the support they can get at home and overseas. The IAVA fights for that support so our Veterans are not forgotten. You can see more about the IAVA at www.iava.org

E1 MUSIC TO RELEASE NEW LIVE CD/DVD
BY LEGENDARY ROCK BAND PRETENDERS

PRETENDERS: LIVE IN LONDON WILL BE RELEASED ON FEBRUARY 9TH, 2010

(New York, NY) ─ E1 Music is set to release a new, live CD/DVD by legendary rock band Pretenders, Pretenders: Live in London, on February 9th, 2010. This electrifying, 100-minute release will be available as a CD with a Bonus DVD, as well as a standalone Blu-ray disc. The Pretenders – Chrissie Hynde, Martin Chambers, James Walbourne, Nick Wilkinson, and Eric Heywood – perform their biggest hits, including “Kid,” “Back On The Chain Gang,” “Middle Of The Road,” “Brass In Pocket” and many more. The DVD & Blu-ray feature 24 live tracks. Pretenders: Live in London captures the band’s energy at its purest form.

With millions of albums sold and their place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame solidified, the Pretenders are a special band with a special place in history. Pretenders: Live in London captures one of their many electrifying performances from their 2009 world tour.

Produced by FogoLabs, the concert was filmed at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire by Grammy and Emmy Award winning producers and directors Pierre & Francois Lamoureux. The video was shot without the use of cranes, dollies or steadicams to create movement. Instead it is about the band, giving it all and not holding back any as they do any night when they hit the stage. The filmmakers’ objective was to stay out the way and capture it within the frame. The band played brilliantly that night and what can be heard & seen on this release is an honest reproduction of that moment in time. There are no overdubs made to the music and no fake crowd noises added. The editing is made to savor moments and the music was mixed and mastered for it to breathe.

Entertainment services company Rock Ridge Music continues to grow its roster with the signing of two additional clients on the artist management side: Cherry Poppin’ Daddies and Matt Duke. They join Joe Firstman, Sister Hazel, Benjy Davis Project, Tony Lucca, Andrew Hoover, Ernie Halter and others on the Rock Ridge Music management client roster.

Says Matt Duke of the relationship: “I’ve invested too much stock in the right side of my brain to ever utilize the left side and add, subtract, multiply, divide – you know, all that ‘math’ stuff. Fractions actually give me a headache, and the term ‘gross income’ still makes me nauseous. Luckily, I found Rock Ridge Music, and they’ve made transitioning into the music business painless and easy to understand. Jason and his team of eager beavers have and will continue to do their best to see that each of their artists, including myself, is successful. Working with Rock Ridge is fantastic, and I couldn’t have asked to be with a better company.”

Eugene, Oregon’s genre-bending, multi-platinum-selling Cherry Poppin’ Daddies (www.daddies.com), perhaps best known for their swing hit “Zoot Suit Riot,” released two albums on Space Age Bachelor Pad/Rock Ridge Music on September 29, 2009: “Susquehanna” and “Skaboy JFK: the Skankin’ Hits of the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies.” The popular eight-man band celebrated their 20-year anniversary in 2009, and their music styles have run the gamut over the years with explorations in many genres, such as Latin pop, swing, ska and glitter rock. They’ve toured the world, headlining and sharing bills with folks like the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Fishbone, and Reel Big Fish.

Matt Duke (www.myspace.com/mattduke) is a Philadelphia-based perfomer. His second full-length album, “Kingdom Underground,” was released by Rykodisc in 2008, followed by the “Acoustic Kingdom Underground EP,” which was an opportunity to explore and capture more raw emotion. Indie rock-leaning Duke incorporates pop, folk, jazz and rock into his repertoire, and he is currently recording with producer Jason Finkel (The Queen Killing Kings, Inhabitants, Jeff Taylor) for an album to be released by Rykodisc in 2010. A recent trek with Tony Lucca and Jay Nash led to the release of the “Totally F**kin’ Doin’ It” EP in November 2009 to commemorate the 25-city tour. It hit #1 on the iTunes singer-songwriter genre sales chart.

Rock Ridge Music offers artists a record label with national/international distribution through ADA (WMG), artist management, and a wide range of consulting services. The company attracts artists looking to develop within the growing independent music sector. Rock Ridge Music can be found online at www.rockridgemusic.com.

SWEDISH’ OUTSHINE LAUNCHES VIDEO FOR 2ND SINGLE !

Following their very succesfull release “Until We Are Dead”, the Swedish Hardrock/Metal band OUTSHINE is now releasing a brand new video for their second single “Love For The Music”, which is featured on “Until We Are Dead”. Filmed in Gothenburg, Sweden by 11Frames.

After 4 appreciated US Tours and the last one in May/June 2009, with +100 gigs in Scandinavia and the US, airtime in Swedish Radio and various
endorsements deals OUTSHINE (SWE) released recently their long awaited new album “Until We Are Dead”.

OUTSHINE, with a melancholy and dark approach to their music, is heading in a darker and heavier direction, with bulldozer-heavy sound and
influences from the darkest metal to the best melodic rock. Vocals compared with icons as Billy Idol and Vince Neil makes OUTSHINE´s sound
unique and fresh. Beautiful and honest, dark and evil, tough and hard…OUTSHINE “Until We Are Dead”.

Finally! A FOREST OF STARS’ groundbreaking album The Corpse Of Rebirth is now available in a very limited luxurious double-vinyl special edition via Transcendental Creations. The packaging for this DLP is unique and quite different from that of regular LPs featuring a large 8-page booklet + printed inner sleeves. A must have for fans! Since its release in 2008, The Corpse Of Rebirth has received praise from fans and critics worldwide.

Testimonials:

”The Corpse Of Rebirth could become the headline of a thrilling new chapter in dark British metal music.” — Avantgarde-Metal

”Defies absolutely all boundaries to the genre.” — 91/100; Asgard Root

“Extremely melancholic and poignantly sincere avant-gardist black metal with a folk and psychedelic/atmospheric approach, A FOREST OF STARS is the kind of band proving the black metal phenomenon goes on, innovating, without any concession to its own identity… ” — Heathen Harvest

“The Corpse Of Rebirth is not always an accessible record, but like many of the deeper novels from the historical period that have clearly influenced the band, the time devoted to it is well spent.” — 9/10; Hellbound

“The Corpse Of Rebirth is a very forward-looking black metal album that isn’t willing to part with its roots – fans of lengthy, involving darkness like Wolves In The Throne Room or Paysage D’Hiver will enjoy it a lot, as will the more avant-garde tastes of Ved Buens Ende devotees, and the like…hunt A FOREST OF STARS down, immediately.” — Metal Reviews

“5 songs, about an hour of pure metallic bliss spiced up by folk leanings, trance-inducing songwriting, instrumental sections, and an overall atmosphere that appeals to me and will so too to any fan of atmospheric, ambient black metal. This is a special album, one you shouldn’t let pass by.” — Music Emissions
