No one can be a music fan without digging a lot of Primus tunes. If you're new to Primus you need this CD to be properly introduced to the band. If you've been a Primus fan for years then you want this CD so you can hear your favorites. "My Name Is Mud" is a huge favorite of mine. Primus has always been a rather bizarre band that's hard to pigeonhole which is what makes it appealing to a lot of people. It's a combination of jazz, funk, and metal. The one thing you notice in this band is the way Les Claypool can play bass. Bass is usually an instrument people don't pay much mind to but this guy is absolutely superior on this instrument and really brings it to the forefront. I think Les Claypool has always been the driving force behind this band and he's definitely the most noticeable. Pick up this remastered and get primed for Primus eventually on tour at a venue near you.
