When I saw the name of this band I thought that was really fucking cool. A black metal band. Then I put it in the CD player and realized that this wasn't black metal. I really dug the shit out of this release however and I think the name is fucking cool. This is definitely straight ahead in your face metal. The songs are definitely worthy of banging your head to. The guitar playing reminds me of back in the day when you had bands like Iron Maiden and Metallica. That kind of playing. I mean those guys shred those fucking things. The CD has a raw sound to it and very abrasive vocals but then the subject matter is pretty brutal. Life in Mediaeval times couldn't have been all that great. Anyway buy this record and drool over it because you haven't heard good shit like this in a while.
